Hi there.ive a long winded question.
I bought a secondhand abi marauder 450ct two years ago. I didnt have a clue about anything other than to check it wasnt damp and in good nick etc.I did not know about vin or anything like that. Novice mistake possibly. it wasnt till recently after i bought a second one(bailey pageant vendee) that i started to realise what it was.
So now i have the abi for sale and the guy buying it wants to know the vin and when i went to get it the numbers have been rubbed off the windows. This got me worried but they could have been replacement windows(im hoping). The a frame under the fibreglass cover has loads of digits on it but a lot of them are worn off. Ive checked around the door and all the a frame for more numbers but cant find anything.
My question. Is there any hidden numbers that would be hard to be gotten rid of. Im aware of the consequences if i have bought something that might have been stolen in the past. Theres no books or anything with it. novice mistake again. any help would be much appreciated.

The ABI Marauder 450CT was produced from 1990 to 1995.
From 1992 onwards the VIN would be on all the windows, unless of course someone had very bad luck and had to change all of them.
Prior to 1992 the VIN was in a different format which suggests that your van is pre 1992.THe vin should be a series of numbers, probably beginning with the year first, ie 90, 91

I think the numbers on the A frame will include the VIN number. Not had a Marauder but it was there on other makes we bought. Not sure why they are difficult to read but it might be age and if so you will have to do the best you can.

First thing to say is the link to the picture does not come up unless you have a GMail account, which I certainly do not, neither do many others.
Secondly, the number you are looking for may be on the side rail of the A Frame , the ones on the top usually refer to the hitch , for example 811/011 refers to the hitch damper.
