Absent Friends

Well it's that time of year once again. When for us, our thoughts turn to absent friends. Be it the Brother in Law, or Sister in Law who both passed away this year. Or to our friends who have just phoned from Perth in Western Australia. When I raise my glass at midnight I will drink to these absent friends, and to all the new friends I hope to make in years to come.

Hi Frank,

We turn our thoughts to absent friends at Christmas and New Year as well, but as with most people it's not the only time we think of all our family, friends/work colleagues who are absent because they have passed on or gone to sunnier climes we raise a glass at both.

I have just opened a bottle of JW Blue Label that I bought in Beriut Airport back in 1996 !!!. So I will drink to both absent friends, and our new grandaughter from now to midnight

MY drink for tonight ? well its a couple of cups of coffee. i book on duty at 4.30 in the morning to work the first train to huddersfield at 5.

Our son is the same, on duty at 0630, we love him dearly. Through Kosovo, and Afghanistan we have at sat home waiting, now he's home and safe and well. Toni I hope your out at the next election scum bag.
