DJP,We bought the ACE Frirestar last October from Discover leisure, we also purchased a Harrington Awning from them at good price, if l remember the Firestar required a 980cm Awning so we went for the 1000cm.
We went to Southport cc in October where for the first time we used the awning, it fitted well but what l recomend is that you purchase a awning companion to make sure you get enough tension on the roof poles, with an awning of 1000cm you need to get the tension right.
Hope this helps.

Ps how do you find the Firestar, we had the 2 berth Brightstar before we bought the this, hence going for another Ace award. Just arrived back from Burrs Park Bury, apart from the weather really impressed with the van, we have just one problem the front centre window which has marks inside the window(see other forum reports) having a new window fitted under warranty by Discover at the end of July.
Few other niggles but have sorted most out, you would think taht Swift would get their pre-delivery inspections done right and all the other manufacturers, as they seem to fall down also.
Hope you have no problems as it is a wounderful caravan.
Happy caravaning.
