Hi Wendy

We've just come back from the Isle of Wight (didn't stay at Adgestone), but we were in the vicinity one day so we dropped in to have a look.

Apart from the myriad of very narrow roads to actually get TO the park, it looks really good. I hope your reversing skills are up to par because if you met someone towing the other way on these country lanes, you'd be, as they say 'In the Cart.'

We stayed there last summer. I thought it was crowded, and a bit too "ordered" for a C&CC site. The washrooms are a bit tired, and didn't seem adequate for the size of site (we use our own, so didn't actually sample them).

The staff weren't as friendly as those we have experienced elsewhere in the club.

Hi wendy

We live on the IoW.

We prefer Southlands in Newchurch rather than Adgestone, although they don't have a pool. Otherwise The Orchards are quite nice, but we have only stayed there outside of the peak periods, so not sure how busy it gets.

Don't stay at Roebeck caravan park!! Unless you like fews of Scrapyards.

We stayed on this site last year and vowed never again. Whilst we found some of the campers to be very friendly and pleasant, some of the staff, not all, were definitely lacking in the personality department. The head warden was pig-ignorant and upset a member of our party with his attitude, ruining our stay. We are quiet campers, do not cause any mess or disturbance and have never had a problem anywhere else. We went to have a look at Southland while we were there and were welcomed in even though reception was shut, shown round and the welcome was altogether different, even though they knew we were already on another site.

The approach to Adgestone is also very difficult.

Just a note regarding the last posting.

Whatever happened last year was last year.

There are new staff at Adgestone this year, the head warden being female, and from the numerous dealings I have had with each of the wardens this year, they are very helpful and obliging.

Am glad to hear there are new staff. That will be a definite improvement. Last year is not that long ago and I stand by my posting!

Having been to this site for the last three years (twice a year) we are astonished to read some of these remarks, PHIL AND JENNIE WICKS have been site managers for all 3 years including this year, admittedly washroooms are tired but they are extreamly clean also the site is very well staffed from 7am until 11pm in fact last September when on site we had a lady on a nearby pitch collapse and die on the roadway the H.S.Managers handled this dreadful situation with the upmost professionalism possible given the surcumstances. perhaps this shows them in a different light to those who complain
