Hi!

We are planning our first trip in a Motorhome (never been inside one before)and we need any suggestions or advices from you.

First of all, we are renting it from Just Go (Luton). Have anyone heard about it? Any references?

We will be out for one week, in January 2010, from Luton to Edinburgh, and going back to Luton to return the MH. Are we out of our minds or it is ok? Any suggestion for the sites along the way?

Any comment is more then welcome!

Thank you!!!!

Hi Mariana, you are not out of your minds. Infact you are doing the best thing. If you dont like it at least you have not spent thousands of pounds. You will however been to see a beutifull city. As for stopping on the way up. This will depend on how far you will drive. I live in County Durham and the motorway goes past us (A1M). There are plenty of places within a five minute drive after turningoff it and I am sure someone will give you more advice than me because we tend to go down your way.

If you like the motor home though, the world is your oyster.

Shame you are not going up to Edinburgh for the new year, you would not want to go home. Infact, if you joined in the celebrations you would not be able to drive for a few days anyway. I just love the way the Scots do the new year. We have one night to blitz it, they take about five.

Only one thing with a motor home is you have to use it a lot unless there is a good public transport service near where you are staying. There is also the parking up in car parks which are not designed for big units. At home you need a good big drive.

Other than that you will enjoy it i am sure.
