advice needed on santander crossing

When connected to the towcar and driving to the UK port the fridge will just be holding temperature if its not a warm day. But when on 12v towcar electrics it really does not have the power to do much more than hold its own. So when you get on the ferry and switch off the car the fridge will start to warm up. When you get to Spain if your first site is near the port then site electrics will bring the temperature down again. Given its a long crossing we don't put food inside that is perishable or temperature dependant. Generally we have a carton of long life milk, cheese and vacuum packed meats/fish. Then the fridge is stuffed with cold drink and beer!!. Oh and quite a few freezer packs to if there is enough room.

The fridge returns to normal items when we arrive at our first site and then when doing day touring between sites.
