Hi can anyone help please - after buying an awning. The specification size is 997cm, struggling to make sense of all the for sale ads as the specifications are saying for example 995cm or 1000-1075cm. Does the awning need to be exact?

No it doesn't need to be exact you would be fine within the the specified ranges or for example with 995.

Its all down to individual makes of awning. Lets say as an example yout van is listed at 980. A suitable bradcot would cover the range from 975 to 990. A similar isabella may be listed at 970 to 985. If your vans apec falls between the two figures you should be fine. It hets more murky if your vans apec is precise to one of the awnings figures. You could go one up or one down in awning aize but would prob mean one down could be quite tight. One size up could leave you a lot of material to tauten when pegging out.

In short you are better off between the awnings figures.
