Advice on which awning to buy

Hi everyone,
I'm looking at getting an awning for my new caravan, I'm not going to be on a permanent pitch so this needs to be taken into consideration.
I haven't really thought of a budget yet but I think about £1000 would be max, I want something that will last with good quality. The size of the awning I will require will be 1000cm.
I know Isabella is highly talked about and I fancy the Isabella Ocean, Atlantic and Pacific 250 I've also seen Inaka awnings before and the really look good quality.
Has anyone got any positive and negatives for these awnings and are there any other awnings people can highly recommend, and just as important where is the cheapest place to buy your recommended awning from.
Thanks in advance!
Lee

Hi Lee
Bradcot are one of the top manufacturers too and we can thoroughly recommend them. We've got the 'Classic' with the Easy Pole System, making it very easy to erect and we liked the one we had on our first caravan so much, we got the same one again, but in a bigger size, when we moved up to a larger caravan. They are extremely well made, with strong zips and stitching and they have a TenCate roof, which deflects the heat. The end windows also roll up to reveal mesh so that you can have airflow through the awning on very hot days and the front and sides all zip out. There are full details of all their awnings on the Bradcot website.
Good luck whichever make you get and we wish you many happy holidays in your new caravan.

Last year we went through the same process and have ended up with the smallest bradcot porch with easy alloy frame for weekends and the full size (1050) Bradcot Concept for longer trips. Both were ordered directly from Bradcot in the end as this was easiest. We had a bit of a delay with the arrival of Concept but it did arrive on time for our easter holidays (even if we were colour coding poles at midnight!) and then had an issue with the stitching along one of the windows. Bradcot sent a corrier to collect the front panel at our convenience and returned it promptly fully repaired. Okay there should not of been a problem but they rectified it with the utmost of customer care. We chose the concept as we liked the look of it over the standard ones. Possibly next time around we'd go for the modular one that they have but for now we're very happy with what we've got. It goes up and down easy and my biggest gripe is how long it takes to peg but that's just down to the size!! The adjustable ladders were a pain on the first awning with having to take them off and put on each time until the inspirational flash of fixing them to the awning using cable ties! 15 minutes later no more issues with it!

Have a look at the Isabella magnum if it fits. It's not a full but it's inbetween a full and a porch. Easy to put up and one before the latest one I think is nicer than the latest one. You can put them up on eBay for about £650. You could always add an annex on as extra storage or the dining area. I have a full caprilux 1088 and the magnum. I have annex for both but I prefer the magnum anyday. It looks stunning with the blues, greys and white curtains.
But before you buy I would ring round and get the best deal. Most post so the best dealers I no for this is highbridge, Raymond James caravans, Chichester caravans maybe glossop?. My friend got a good deal from Raymond James the best but haggle.

Hi. We got our current awning from Glossop caravans. They had a big selection and ours was a very good price as they were clearing out stock from when they had a fire. (other than as a customer I have no connection with them)

I would avoid glossops! After much backwards and forwards ended up direct with Bradcot which was easier and much less hastle. Yes they had some good price deals but the goal posts kept moving! All ended up rather a waste of my time!

We have a magnum it's a great awning for short breaks.

We are thinking of geating a full awning, and have been looking at a isabella forum. Has anyone had experiance of a 3,5m deep awning? i'm a bit concerned about not being allowed to put this awning up on some sites because it might be to close to the next caravan!
