advice please fiamma caravanstore zip awning

I have the chance to purchase a caravanstore zip awning for around £150. This seems like a great bargain I just wondered what they are like? Are they as easy to put up as they claim? Has anyone had any problems with them like they have the PDQ which would have been my awning of choice if I had not read all about the downfalls of them on here!

Any advice greatfully received.

thanks

The caravanstore zip is certainly much better than the PDQ (we had two - total rubbish) 2 problems with the caravanstore - condensation whatever the weather and in cold weather it is very stiff and almost unusable.

After trying both have gone back to our Isabella Magnum - can be put up a sunshade or fully enclosed awning, stands up to whatever weather is thrown at it including really high winds on the NE coast of Scotland.

We have a Fiamma caravanstore zip awning as well as a Dorema full awning.

The Fiamma is invaluable for short stays and is assembled very quickly! The fact that you can slide it on the awning rail and leave it there means you dont waste valuable caravan floor storage space and it is ready to erect when you get to your site - just unzip and roll out - great!

We used ours when away in March when the weather was too wet for a full awning assembly and also very good in the summer as a sunshade if you dont want the bother of putting up the full size awning.

Hope this helps

Hi thanks for your comment. It does help. We usually go away for weekends and putting up an awning each time makes it tedious.

I will definitely contact the man who offered me the awning now.

thanks again
