According to the figures I have found, the Galaxy 1.9TDI, 130 ps has the following specs:

1.9 TDi 130 PS 2005 1724=Kerbweight 1465=85% 2000=max tow limit.

You need to check on the Train Weight limit, as this will be the final determining factor, but with the motor mover fitted, add another 30kg to your van weight.

As it is you are about 200 kilos over the 85% guide but below the max towing limit, so you will have to take a lot more care and anticipate the road ahead to maintain good progress.

The TA Senators are quite a lump of a van to drag throught the air and up hill and down dale. Fromm experience I would be looking for a diesel that is over 2 litres with some good low down torque an higher bhp output. The Ford may put you around the 90% level. It would cope OK, just depemds on what you want in reserve towing such a big van.

thanks for your advice ,we tow the van with a discovery at the moment and wanted to downsize but can only afford to do one at the moment either the car or the van ,thought we would start with the car first but looks more likely to be the van first.
