Aerial or dish for a Mobile MTV15DVD - any suggestions please?

We have a Status 540 aerial on our van which we recently re-sited to a seasonal pitch but, as it is close to some trees, no longer receives BBC1 and a few more stations, satisfactorily.

The set we have is a Mobile MTV15DVD which has built-in Freeview.

As the area, Yorkshire, will be going digital in the future, could anyone recommend either a suitable aerial or dish (portable or fixed)?

I have seen the Ross SD Caravan Satellite Kit in B&Q at £69.98 and wondered if anyone has any experience or comments about these?

Any help would be appreciated as my wife will not be a “happy bunny” if she can’t watch this!!

Thank-you!

Just check the direction of the trees you mention. You will need an interupted view to the South/South East to get the satellite working. If they are in the SE, they must be about 2 or 3 times the height away from you.

Hi
unless free to air Satelite channels are inportant to you. why not just replace your aerial, so the good lady can watch eastenders. if you are on a sesonal pitch, just buy a normal TV aerial and pole and replace your jockey wheel with this, you could do this for about £20
