AeroPlus Spoiler

I have just bought one of these and am interested to know what other members experience has been. I did use something similar in the past and felt that it did work. I have seen lots of different claims for fuel saving but if I could get 10% it would pay for itself on the next trip to Spain, is this realistic?

Any savings that you might achieve are a bit of a hit-and-miss thing. You may be lucky, but if not, it would be worth experimenting around a bit with different positions to see if there is any further improvement (or deterioration). The thing is, one normally knows little about the actual aerodynamic flow around car and caravan so it's difficult to predict the optimum position.

I have wonderd if a roof box (the aero pointed type) dose the same thing they both have a gap under neath witch is not to good but the plus of a roof box is storage.

I have been using a spoiler and I find that the mpg is one mile less than when not using it. I am still playing about with it to try and get a better result.

The real benefits are that the van and car are much more stable and it keeps the bugs off the front of the van.
