AL-Ko 1300 stabilizer hitch

My new caravan comes with the above stabilizer hitch. Can anyone advise if I need am ALko tow ball as well to go with it? My tow bar is a PCT flange style

Morganic, A standard towball is ok for the 1300 hitch. Ray

I disagree. The 1300 is bulkier than a standard hitch, and it needs the correct towball. I had the Al-Ko ball (flange) on my previous car; I now have a swan neck, so no problem. I have been using the 1300 for 2 years.

You definately need an Alko towball with an AKS1300, the bolt-on ones come as part of the kit.

My new caravan (Avondale) which had an Alko hitch, came with an Alko towball supplied, ask your supplier where it is.

If not try eBay, I sold two on there six months ago.
