AL-KO Standard to Alko 3004

My caravan is fitted with a Al-Ko 605363 standard coupling.

I have a detachable towbar fitted to my car....I cannot use the old blade type stabiliser I had so I'm looking at the AL-KO 3004.

I assume this is pretty much a straight swap.....no chassis mods

Caravan is 2001 Sterling Sapphire......MTPLM is 1455 kgs...

Thanks........

I'm told that it's possible to get blade stabiliser brackets to fit detachables but I always had difficulty fixing them on swan-necked towballs so, like you, changed to an Al-Ko AKS 3004 when I fitted a detachable.

It's straight-forward as long as you follow the instructions including use of the dummy pin to retain the spring damper when unbolting the old hitch!
