Is it possible to tow a caravan without an Al ko hitch with a car fitted with an Al ko towball? I am hoping to change caravans and will be swapping the hitches over. I need to get both caravans together for this to happen so will need to tow the new one to the old one (with the al ko hitch).
 
Yes, the AlKo towball is interchangeable with or without an AlKo hitch. It's just that a non-AlKo towball is not interchangeable. Make sure, however, that if you have towed a caravan with a standard hitch, which will probably have been greased, that the towball is degreased before hitching up with an AlKo stabiliser.
