Has anyone any experience of the caravan alarm systems which detect movement and automatically dial a mobile phone number.

Make, price and details would be useful but more importantly how effective are they.

I keep my van on a storage site and it has hitchlock and wheel clamp fitted - but I do not have that much confidence in them as they only seems to delay the thief about 10 mins if you are lucky.

It would seem that an additional system like this could be really effective.

Sorry james no advice on the alarm but heres a good tip .have a look at your van wheels to see if a chain will pass between the wheel centre and tyre if so go to your local motorcycle shop and buy a lock and chain and add to your wheel thay are very hard to remove without the keys
