Alarms

Any thoughts on the best alarm to fit to a caravan?

I'm looking at the 2002 Concept KEL caravan alarm and the IDM 4. Both are around the same price of £170. My insurance company has no views. (I'll get a discount on either.)I can see advantages on either so any comments will be appreciated.

Fitted the KEL 2002 to my Bailey Ranger, was easy to fit and the addition of being able to use the blipper to switch on/off awning light is very useful at night. Not sure about the PCM but the KEL has a standard PP9 battery for back up so that the alarm is not defeated by disconnecting the van battery.

Could I suggest a couple of geese. I think alarms are pointless. Most thieves know how to deactivate them and where to find the backup battery. As a better alternative why not invest in a tracker device
