ALDE Central Heating

Our new Fleetwood has Alde Central heating.

Our first trip out last weekend showed that the 'warm up rate' is not very good when compared to the Truma system.

What do other Alde users do to warm up the caravan when first sited in cold weather?

Our 'van is stored at home, so I always put the heating on a couple of days before we go away - that usually takes the chill off if we are not going too far. Failing that, when you get to your destination, put the heating on gas as well as electricity, it warms up very quickly!!

Hi, we were away last weekend, -2 when we arrived on site, i agree with wendy, i put the heating on electric (2) and the gas, it only takes around 20-30 minutes to reach 20c.

We find the alde system absolutely fantastic, we will never go back to blown air heating!

kind regards, Andrew.

I am grateful to both Wendy, Andrew & Sally.

We were close to buying a catalytic heater but will defer that until we try it again - this weekend!

Thanks again.

I've tried to use gas and electric together on my boiler but I find that the gas cuts out as soon as you put the elctric on.

I agree that it takes some time to warm up but when the van is warm it stays that way for much longer.
