Hi Can anyway help please with have recently bought a Bucanneer Cruiser 1996 with the Alde heating system and it all worked fine for a couple of weeks, now we can get the heating but no hot water, does anyone have any ideas please.
Sorry, I should have said on previous post we have tried the obvious like fuses etc. If there is anyone on the forum that has one of these systems could they tell me about the re-set button please. We have located ours, it's round the back on our model, but it doesn't feel like a button, can someone tell me what it should feel like please.
I do not know about your specific problem but we had a problem with our Alde Heating and contacted Alde direct, they were extremely helpful. definately give them a try.
I do not have the number with me at present but if you can not get hold of it I will post it on here tomorrow.
On our system the button is covered by a plastic cover and obviously this needs to be remove to be able to push the button.
I am concerned that the heating is working but you have no hot water as the hot water is a "by product" of the heating process. The boiler heats the central heating fluid which is pumped around the radiators - which you sat is working_ and the hot water sits in a "jacket" around the boiler. If the heating works I can't see why there is no hot water unless the hot water tank has not been filled.
