Is it ok run the ALDE wet heating constantly while pitched during winter, and we decide to go out?

I noticed there is Day/Night mode, it wondering if it’s doing any harm having it always on.

Anyone else just leave theirs on?

Shame Swift didn’t include the new 2024 smart system in the 2023 models, with the amount it cost :(

If you were in the caravan and it was cold you would run the heating, so it really doesn't make any difference to the Alde system if you are in or out. We never ran our heating though when we went out, and when we returned it heated up quickly whilst we were getting sorted and making cup of tea.

We use the heating in the caravan as we do the heating at home i.e. set day-time and night-time temperatures and, once you've decided on what the relevant temperature settings should be, leave it alone.

Adding a battery back-up keeps the settings when all is powered-down and, with a Swift, stopping the command system interfering helps!

You also have default state as well as day and night settings I've set night from 21:30 to 06:35 then day from 06:36 to 09:30 when it reverts to default until night kicks-in again. Default allows easy tweaking of the temperature during the day should you desire it.

In cold weather, our Alde system was on 24/7. But the thermostat was constantly adjusted. I found this was better done manually despite the auto functions. If we were going out or going to bed I would just drop the temperature down, say 22 to 17. In this way, we would come back to a lukewarm van that was quickly heated up. This worked best for us as going out, or to bed had variable times. So I did not use the day/night function.

If an appliance like a heater is sold for use whilst people are in residence, then it should ( with teh proviso that it has been correctly maintained and used) should be safe enough to leave turned on whilst the space is unoccupied.

What I'm not clear about is it your intention to leave the heating on whilst the caravan is in storage between visits?

If that is your intention then I'd advise differently, because that would incredibly wasteful of energy, and it does not really offer any advantage to the condition of the caravan.
