alko hitch

I maybe getting a newer caravan ordered next week, it has the new type hitch which has the hitch which also acts as a stabilier, i currently have the hitch which changes colour when it is attached to towball, do i need a direct towball or anything changed on the car to make way for this change.

when you say tou currently have a hitch that changes colour, i assume you have an alko hitch that when connected to the towball, the button pops up (green)? if so, I dont think there is any need to change your tow ball. The majority of stabaliser/hitches are made by ALKO. The correct towball has a ridge on the underside.

Good luck

You don't say whether you have a bolt-on towball or a swan-neck towbar. If you have a swan-neck towbar you don't have to do anything. If it's the other sort, refer to the reply above.
