Alko Jacking Points on a Bailey Ranger S5 460/4

Anyone with a Bailey Ranger S5 460/4 should note that if you intend to fit the Alko Jacking points you will need to move your waste water pipes so the outlets are forward of the wheel. This is on the offside of the Van as the nearside fits perfectly.

This may apply to other models.

Hi Alan,

I have a Bailey Ranger 550/6 and bought an Alco jack complete with angle bracket type jacking points.

As you say, the nearside one just bolted in place but the offside bracket couldn't be fitted as the waste pipe runs where the floor meets with the main alco frame/channel. As the angle bracket is actually a two way jacking point, ie,it is two of the same but one arm longer than the other depending on your van's channel height, I just hacksawed the redundant half off at the corner and bolted the correct one in place. Can't see a problem and haven't had one.
