Get the grey matter going techy people.
We all love the security of the Alko lock but it is a pain in the proverbial to line up especially in limited space or when using leveling ramps.
So not being particularly technically minded thought of what might be a solution ,if its possible that is,I have contacted Alko twice with the suggestion but had no response so maybe its a mad idea.
The idea is this, why not have more than one receptor maybe two or three unequally spaced so that if one didn't line up one of the others might or would require less wheel rotation to align.
so is it mad or a eureka moment.
:)

That's a good idea, but we don't need that facility as we can always line up aided by the motor mover. If that side of the van needs levelling we fit the wheel lock first and then jack up with a Milenco leveller.

Where I park on my drive it has to be with an inch or so in each direction so is a pain,I have a leveler but have to drive onto it with car or mover but then can't fit the lock,a multiple receptor would be better for all if it is possible.

another thought on your situation is that the final position of your van is determined by fitting the lock and then lifting rather than the other way

Entirely with WC, by and far the easiest way to do it. Having said that it's certainly a brilliant idea to have the receptors spaced around. Of course we would, knowing all about the law of sod, be in the wrong position even then. :cheer:

If the receptor were to be hidden behind a wheel spoke, then the maximum distance the van would have to be moved in either direction to line up the Alko would be half the distance between 2 spokes, perhaps 10 cms max at the circumference of the tyre. Hardly seems worth extra receptors

Half the distance between 2 spokes is not always true. Don't forget Sod's Law where the tyre valve just happens to be in the inter-spoke gap you want to use. :(

Been there, got the T Shirt. ;)

I just use mine when the caravan is on the drive. Don't claim any discount for it from my insurer as I only need hitchlock and wheel lock. The types are not specified. Darned if I am going to start jacking ups caravan on site, there's beer(sic) things to do.
