Alko Wheel Locks for Twin Axle & Corner Steady Locks - what alternative

We have a twin axle which came with 2 alko wheel locks but it's a nightmare to get both wheels aligned without jacking up the caravan everytime were onsite. This year were thinking we'll only us 1 wheel lock where we can align 1 wheel with the mover. What alternatives could you suggest. We've been looking at corner steady locks are they any good

We also use hitchlock & have caravan tracker

You'll need to check what restrictions your insurance company imposes on you - a number of them void the theft cover if you don't have all the available Alko locks in place.

You can use an ordinary wheel clampon one wheel subject to the OK from the insurance company
They may be OK with just one clamp if you ask them

Often you get discounts for Alko wheel clamps etc but we were maxed out on discounts so it made no difference to the premium that the Swift has no Tracker for instance so you may find it will make no difference if one clamp is fitted its worth asking

We use a purple line excalibur wheel lock, you do not have to be as precise as Alko to line up the fitting through the wheel spokes,maybe two of those would work on a twin.Videos available on the internet to show fitting, either using the Alko mounting or the excalibur own mounting that comes in the kit. Our insurance company states only an approved wheel lock needs to be fitted. The excalibur is a lot less expensive than the Alko.

I've got an Excalibur and an Alko and mix and match them with the Excalibur receiver on the offside wheel
I get the feeling that the Excalibur is on the way out as Towsure no longer list it and its out of stock on other sites
Towsure and others state that the wheelchock is not included but in fact its welded to the receiver and so is included

My insurers are happy for 1 wheel clamp and hitchlock on our twin axle. Luckily we got a bulldog max before that silly legal wrangle so that's a bit easier for lining up and still acceptable with insurers

Same here as almost impossible for us to line up the two and ther is no ways I am jacking up the caravan each time.

Whilst I'm still able I still use the trolley jack. A pain but it does the job. And something else to carry!
However depending on the site surface, eg loose gravel or grass you can do the cheat method and use the mover. This is not recommended by Al-Ko nor me but I admit I do use it from time to time.
Use the mover to line up the non driven wheel. Apply lock. Then use mover to line up next lock by dragging the locked wheel.
This is no good if you have a four wheel mover , nor on tarmac of concrete where the drag may be too great.
