Quite an achievement and maybe something that Future Publishing should acknowledge. Free PVc subscription perhaps? ๐

He'll be lucky
Moderators used to get a "free" subscription as recompense for hours spent helping this website to run smoothly keeping the keyboard warriors and spam merchants away, but the subscription was stopped as soon as Future took over from Haymarket

I am grateful to those contributors who are generous enough to thank the posts, as that is a better measure of how effective a posting may be than just sheer number of posts. I'm particularly pleased when we get feed back about the use of any advice that's been given.
I am also grateful to those contributors who genuinely engage in a debate by sticking to facts rather than trying to make personal remarks or innuendos, which generally just shows how weak their own point of view is.

Iโm almost speechless !
A well respected member of the forum starts a post in recognition and honour of your efforts Prof, and your response ends in a general insult !
Surely, whether based on fact, speculation or otherwise, someoneโs point of view is their point of view and is neither any stronger, nor weaker than yours !
Are you referring to personal remarks such as this one ? ...
โI do welcome a public appearance of a member of Futures staff, better late than never, but forgive me for some cynicism as to your title. What on earth is a "Community Manager"? I have tried to Google for a definition, but frankly it is far from clear what role you are tasked with in terms of "management"? For example, are you employed within Practical Caravans editorial team or are part of Futures Corporate team? Do you have a personal interest in caravanning, other than a professional responsibility as Community Manager?โ
Para one. No need to be bashful Prof. Your technical input has always been well appreciated and long may it continue.ProfJohnL said:I hadn't even noticed I'd clocked up that number, I don't see it as a particular achievement, nor was it a target, my only interest is to provide information that will be useful to one or more people who raise a question or perhaps demonstrate a misunderstanding of a point or topic, especially on the technical side of things.
