AMPS LIMIT

Hello Malcolm,

That is the preferred response, and it can give you some confidence that you are not going to annoy your fellow caravanners.

I would just point out that in some parts of the continent, the supply is not so generous and you might find the bollard or central control trip operating before the caravans.

Just to confuse issues further, remember that UK mains voltage is a nominal 230V (+10% -6%) so a load near to the maximum Amp value may be fine one day, and trip the next !!!!

Hi Alistair,

A good point,

However these days electrical applainces should quote power requiemenst for the expected opertaing range of supply volts, so electric kettels will usually quote somting like 2200W to 2500W between 220 to 250Vac @50 to 60hz. From thee figure it is possible to acertain the maximum running Amps
