Another Internet Rip Off - BEWARE

They have found a new way of ripping you off- spyware watches what you surf for then they send you a card in the post saying they tried to deliver a parcel and for you to ring a premium rate 0906 # at £1.50 a minute to arrange collection.

It says in small print that calls last at least 5 mins and you must listen to all the call to arrange delivery of the goods. It just happened that Ive been surfing for the prices on a Digital Camera and lo and behold it was the same camera they was trying to deliver. Beware. I'm lucky to be sat here warning you about it because when Her Ladyship saw the card she almost jumped down my throat thinking I'd ordered this £400 camera on the credit card :O( It didnt help my marital relationship at all. I spent all morning with the stable girls humping in the hay.

This mite help you get ride of the spyware on your computer they are free for you to drown load and use. So just cut and past this and pick one or two of them or you cud go for all three.

Thank you Mark but I have 2 anti - spyware programmes but that doesn't stop them unless after every site you visit you run them. Those programmes only help to lessen the problem. It just annoys me to think that people are ringing these scammers and are getting ripped off. Its not illegal apparently else it would be stopped. I dont know where you come up with the idea that was my stable maid by the way, thats my mother. Surprising what they get up to in the Nursing Home these days.

How would I know, if I had that kind of technical expertise I wouldn't be sat here now, I'd be making money. My son - in - law who is a postman told me yesterday he has delivered a few out recently, all with a consumer item listed. He also told me that a friend had been searching on the web for a DVD Recorder, lo and behold he had a card through the post to asking him to phone to arrange collection of a said DVD Recorder. He couldn't tell me if the card was from P.D.S. though. Coincidence I dont know but if anyone wants to ring the 0906 # to find out please do. Only problem is you will be speaking to a machine and it will cost you

The DVLA has dispensation from the Government for selling on personal information they hold on you. Probably other government departments/private companies are doing the same. The true meaning of privacy has long gone out of the window. Now I am retired I am constantly getting e-mails from insurance companies for those who are either retired or over 60. I am also being bombarded with e-mails for health tablets and Viagra (don't know whether Lord B has passed my name on for this one). How/where do they get this information from as I am very reluctant to give my details on the internet and I have never bought/sold on the net.
