I have posted on a few topics so thought I would say hi🙂

We have just bought an old Trophy caravan to try it out and see if caravanning is for us. We had the caravan 6 days stripped it of all its added and inapropriate wiring and check all the electric and gas functions worked and then took it to Sivlerstone last week for the F1. We had a great time and even though our Trophy is over 20 years old it was great. We are taking the kids to Brean for four nights soon🙂

You made a wise decision in finding out if you would enjoy caravanning first before committing large sums of money.

It doesn't matter how old your caravan is as long as it's safe, you can go anywhere that someone with a brand new factory fresh caravan could visit.

We often go to Brean or Birmingham on Sea as we think of it. Which park are you staying on?

The pub with the cheapest beer prices in Brean is at the top of the driveway next to Mc Coll's supermarket, the Ocean Wave I think that it's called. It's child and dog friendly with a view across Bridgewater Bay.

Brean and Weston Super Mare to turn into extentions of Birmingham. My step father is a brummie and his mum use to own a bungalow on the beach at Brean and some of his side of the family have arcades in Weston! We are staying at the Unity campsite which seems to have everything around it. Just hope we are not looked down upon for having an old caravan. I have been infomed people can be quite snobby about that sort of thing, not that I have experience it first hand. We are already thinking of a possible upgrade for next year. Our Trophy only cost us
 
The kids will enjoy Unity Kristy, there are clubs for them and swimming, a play area and bowling.

No one will look down on you because of the age of your caravan, we've never come across that sort of attitude anyway. The only form of slight snobbery that I've ever encountered was not from fellow caravanners but from some owners of 'static' caravans which are not caravans at all really.

One or two of them have acted as though they think they are a cut above us tourers but I content myself with the knowledge that I'm not a gullible as them.

I hope that my o/h doesn't cotton on to the caravan on the drive idea.

Yes I can help if it's at silverstone or Donnington we will be there. The Lichlake farm campsite is litterally over the bridge from the main enterance it is just a field with decent enough shower and toliets but the do cram alot of people in one field for
 
I hope you have great times, Kristy. I dont think anyone would look down on you. I honestly think fellow caravanners would just want you to enjoy it as much as they do and continue doing it! I certainly would. Memories are more important than anything.
