Hi all, sorry another water pump issue, I've searched the entire Internet, tried allsorts and still no fix so thought I'd post here.

Caravan is a Swift Sprite 4FB 2015 model with an onboard Flojet pump. I'm away at the moment and no longer have water at the taps, just air. Pump runs fast when taps are turned on and turns over slowly when taps are off, I can hear water bubbling or dripping in the hot water tank so im assuming its running to try and top up the water tank but is blowing in air?Had no issues for first few days. I have tried the following.

-Removed and checked inline filter
-Ran pump without inline filter
-Disconnected pump outlet and can confirm air coming from outlet side
-Disconnected pump inlet and confirm suction
-Checked aquaroll and confirm full and inlet pipe submerged
- Disconnected pump inlet pipework pre filter and sucked on the end (ahem) to prove no blockages and water is available.....got a few good mouth fulls
- Removed, dismantled and reassembled pump, no anomalies found
-Increase pressure by 1/4 turn as per manual but no change

Only thing I can think is the pump lacks suction, I said I can feel suction with my finger but it isn't strong, blocking the outlet with my finger for a few seconds and then removing releases a noticeable pop and rush of air.

Not really sure where to go from here apart from buy a new pump. I'm away again next weekend so want to try and get it sorted. Any help appreciated. Thanks

You can strip Flojet pumps down to examine and clean the various parts. I did that with mine and reassembled it, but it was still not pumping despite sometimes making the right noises so I bought a new one which took about 10 minutes to fit, although I did modifications to the mounting arrangements to reduce its noise.

I might just order a new one, found one online somewhere and only a few screws so easy to change. In fact I had the pump off a couple of times this morning and very nearly left it off thinking it is u/s but went for one more go. Just tonight to get through then we are heading home. Luckily I've got an Italian beverage to keep me hydrated tonight so no need for water!

I bought mine from a commercial pump supplier not a caravan outlet. It was significantly cheaper. Think the details are in one of the links.
Ps TF pump supplies Derby.

Just tried one last thing with this, removed the strainer and put an inlet pipe straight in to a cup of water, ran the pump and nothing. No change in levels at all. Just all noise and no action so ordered a new pump which should be delivered by Wednesday. Thanks for the info 👍

Ben, I posted on here two days ago an identical problem. I bought a new pump but as you will read it wasn’t the problem. Back to basics. Can you blow through the filter and pipe in the aquaroll to the inside? Try it with pump running and off. Are the O rings sealing at the entry to the Swift? Are there any other very small fine mesh filters either side of the pump? Don’t confuse with the inline filter. Run a spare pipe direct from a water source to the pump. Any action? You will see from my photos even this old dog got caught out! Good luck

No other filters, last thing I did was disconnect all pipes from the inlet and outlet. I put a pipe from the inlet into a cup full of water, ran the pump and nothing came out the other side but air. I've ordered a new pump which will be with me early next week so hopefully it'll all be sorted for the trip to Scarborough on Friday

A couple of years ago a friend asked me to check his water flow whilst adjusting his pressure switch. After some time, testing , It turned out to be the water tap filters kitchen and Bathroom. All blocked at the same time. Ok when first hooked up on site. Then 20 minutes later, no flow. . Expect the unusual.
