Hi

About two years ago Bailey (I think) announced the launch of an anti-snake device, I think the retail price was around £350 ish.

Can anyone point me in the direction of any write ups about it?

Also, if anyone has one fitted, do you notice a difference? We have an Alko hitch, I much prefer the old bar type stabilizer. But that's not what I'm asking about here.

Many thanks.

We have ATC;

No we don't notice any difference, the van was very stable before we had it fitted.

Like the tow car's airbags it there for that moment it is needed, hopefully never.

I've got ATC - had it fitted by AlKo last year. In normal driving, there's no difference, however, I've managed to make it work a couple of times just by going around a roundabout a bit too enthusiastically! There is a short pull from the caravan as the brakes are applied which you do notice. At least I know it works! However, you're way out on price. AlKo have a special offer on now which expires in a week. If you book your 'van in for fitment at their factory before 8th May, then you'll get the current price of

Hi

Thanks for the replies. I will look into it.

Nigel, thanks, I'll look in the mag if I still have it, however sod's law I've decided once we've looked through the mag, we now bin them asap.

It's just that I've noticed with the Alko hitches, you get a tiny bit of sway. If I explain, the first tourer we had was an older one with a snakemaster bar and the caravan never seemed to sway, etc. The caravan was a little lighter than the subsequent ones we bought.

However, the past two Abbey's with Alko's just don't feel the same when towing.

The noseweight is correct, it's correctly loaded with tyre pressure checked on the car and van. The tow car is up to the job. I tow at a speed taking into consideration, wind, rain, whether going downhill etc, etc. I'm not saying we're snaking but you can feel every little movement.

Maybe that's just normal and we were a bit spoilt by our first van.
