We are about to part ex our 2018 Unicorn S4 Seville (2 berth) if you want any info. Very low mileage due to pandemic and ill health, in fact in 2024 it did all of 76 miles - 38 miles each way to the dealer for a service!

None at all - dry as a bone with full service history to prove it at one of the country's biggest Bailey dealers (maybe even the biggest given the recent closures!)

Some years ago we brought a brand new Bailey Ranger 460/4 caravan from a dealer ours was dry and damp free and service every year no problems , so in your case if you get it from a dealer it will come with a warranty so good luck .

Let's put that into perspective, there are ventilation holes in the bottoms of the under seat lockers in every van I've looked at. In tropical rain you can get a little bit of water splashing up when towing. I'm now on my second Bailey (swapped to a 2024 Cabrera from a 2019 Cabrera). Both have been completely dry, and when checked annually by a damp meter, the previous was dry as a bone.

My last caravan was a 2008 Abbey GTS 215 it had full service history and damp free but your choice if you want a tent me I would look at other caravans and keep your options open good luck .

I bought my Phoenix 640 new in January 2019. It's still bone dry.
Its just had its 6 year service and I asked the AWS Engineer to be extra thorough with the damp checking.

A long serving member on here had a new 2019 Alu-tech Bailey. Leaked like a sieve . Why?
Like the other manufacturers it was probably a Friday afternoon job and in the rush to go home insufficient sealant was applied.

The very same will happen with the others so I wouldn’t single out Bailey nor would it stop me buying another.
Hopefully the day will come when the sealant is not a first line of defence to keep water out!

I am sure that many of the caravan designers are disappointed with the build quality, of their caravans, and blame leaks on the assembly workers.
It is well known when we look around caravans, it can be heard from people, "Why did they do that. ???"

Unless new get it independantly tested, even from dealer. This goes for near new ones with factory warranty.

2019 Bailey Phoenix 642 owner here.
Bought in 2021 at two years old, at each service damp free. Due in for its next service week Monday (24/3).
Just emptied it of all items to make it easier for the service, looks fine, service will tell.
Steve.
