I have recently purchased a outwell bay 320a air awning and this tool came with it ! Does anyone know what it is for?

It look like it would go into the inflation valve to hold the rubber flap open whilst you deflate the awning.
 
It is a valve tightening/ removal tool. We had a leaky valve-dealer used this to undo the valve which had a piece of material trapped down its threads causing the leak and it was then replaced-all superb after that!
 
Thanks too you both i had a feeling it was something to do with the valve but i did not want to get the awning out of the bag to check as i am limeted to space for rolling it back up.
