Anyone recommend the best way to buy and sell?

Im looking to sell my current caravan and purchase something a little bigger now that my family has grown.

Can anyone give me some suggestions of the best place to sell my caravan? Are there any specialised free caravan classifieds or listings?

Try Autotrader for selling, I have sold 2 caravans through them and quickly....

how about ebay,just remember to put a reserve on the one you want to sell.

Remember any 'agent' dpoing the selling will ask for a significant percentage, usually up front. They will also accept probably a lower price than you might as the actual owner. However, it saves the hassle. Just make sure they are not likely to go bust as you may never see either your van or your money again.

You are probably most likely to get the best price by selling yourself through the local Press or Caravan Press, but again be prepared for a lot fo calls from 'agents' offering a quick deal. All you need is the 1 genuaine customer, and you are home and dry.

Personally i gave up on all that and did a deal with a dealer. Yes, I lost a few pounds but my nerves were not shattered

If you don't mind paying a fee and have limited pictures etc you can use Autotrader, you will get a lot of coverage with them.

There are a couple of free classifieds for new and used caravans/motorhomes going about. There is one, www.caravansandtrailertents.co.uk which is free and has unlimted photo uploads etc. Havent used it myself but it might be worth a try.

When we sold our caravan earlier this year I advertised it in several places. The only ad that generated any interest was on E-bay. You can use an option to advertise it as a classified ad rather than auction it - this is done through the motoring section. It was much cheaper that an auction as it is a fixed fee with no final sale fee. From memory it was just over

I ended up using www.caravansandtrailertents.co.uk. I sold my caravan within a week on there and have arranged to view a few others.

Thanks to Liam for the suggestion and i can recommend this site to everyone else. It was free to list my caravan and you can upload unlimted amounts of photos.
