Aquaroll hose connection

Hi all just on site and had to go out 3 times to reconnect my blue hose to the aquaroll can anyone recommend any decent connectors to add to my hose to stop them causing a flood to the nice plant feature I'm next too .. 😊

Put a stop end on the hose connection to the barrel float. The hose supplied by Aquaroll has Gardena fittings.

Are you talking about the mains feed hose? I have used many with little problem until they get past it. Most Are fine but the average Hoselock do a good job. Available all garden centres and hardware stores.

I thought all these hosepipe connections of different manufacture were interchangeable

They are, but they all do a non return valve which is being suggested by Woodentop. Fitted right, if it flies off the water stops.

It’s not a non return valve, it’s a water shut off valve that prevents water discharge if the coupling should detach. I use them on the house hoses in the event I forget to shut if the outside tap. Most coupling problems can be cured by periodically lubricating the O ring with silicone oil or grease or replacing it when worn.
