Aquaroll Mains Adaptor

I've just purchased an aquaroll mains adaptor but wonder whether something is amiss. When I connect up the to the mains it works as advertised and water flows freely but, when the 'float' lifts the water is not shut off. Am I missing a pressure reducing valve or do i just need to set the tap to trickle or something?

PS I sent the first one back and my replacement does the same!

I don't know why, but my float valve takes two or three seconds to stop the water after the float rises. Strang, but it does work eventually.

When you screw the mains adaptor into the side of the Aquaroll, open the top cap and ensure the "float" is vertical and not horizontal. Because the "float" is not a ball (as in ballvalve) it will not work if it is not vertical
