Hi all

Having recently bought my first caravan and retired the trailer-tent I am trying to decide which is best. I am tempted by the Water and waste hogs as they are bigger but have heard that the Aquaroll and Wastemaster are beter quality. Any advise would be appreciated please.

Thanks

Andre'

Hi there

I had the same problem. I went for wastemaster the wast-hog is great but when full if I had to lift to empty the unit as you do some times it was very heavy when full. With the clean water the bigger the better. Not so many trips to the tap you just are rolling it there and back no lifting.

Hope this helps Steve.

Hi andre, we had this decision about a year ago and at the end we decided to opt for the aquaroll and wastemaster. They just simply look and feel better quality, can't remember which were the most expensive but I would definitely recommend the aquaroll. We have had lots of use out of ours and they still look brand new. A friend of ours had the Water hog and after a few months the container split and was worthless.

Hope this helps

Ian

We've got the Aquaroll & Wastemaster too and agree with Ian about the look and quality.

Whichever make you choose, put some kind of visible mark on them so that you can easily identify them as yours (we used Hammerite spray paint to make a mark on ours). Unfortunately, there are some scumbags around, mostly on commercial sites, that steal not only aquarolls and wastemasters, but will take anything else outside your caravan, including things left in the awning. It was reported recently that someones electric hook-up cable was swapped for an old one while they were out for the day. Just be mindful that this kind of thing can happen.

We put a mark on our aquaroll

Oooops, was going to say "on our aquaroll and wastemaster with Hammerite", but decided to fit it in above and forgot to delete the start of the sentence!

Hi

I have an aquaroll fresh water container and a waste hog for grey water. I wish that I had gone for the wastemaster now though. The wast hog has a rather silly dial gadget to supposedly show how full the container is but this soon rusts and spoils the look of the waste hog. The waste hog is light coloured and shows every single mark, and the surface plastic is not smooth like the waste master, and so is not so easy to keep clean imo.

Hi

Aquaroll/Wastemaster for me.

As for not wanting to trek up to the tap every five minutes (ish) - buy another!

AND - a lot of sites now have running water at the hook-up pillar - buy a ball-valve gizmo-thingy (not the Aquaroll one like me where it cost about

We bought our small aquaroll from a near neighbour who was giving up caravanning, that was about 20 years ago and it was about 20 years old then. I keep threatening to replace the worn tyres but Aquarolls bigger younger brother does most of the work these days.

I think Aquaroll wins on quality for longevity.

I use a couple of cable combination locks to secure my Aquarolls and wastemaster and I've marked them with permanent marker pen. Though I quite fancy a pink one !!!!!

Some thieving git actually nicked my step once.

We use two Aquarolls for fresh water and a wastehog for waste water, however as we are on a seasonal pitch the shower waste water is run onto the grass at the rear of the caravan. The site owners are quite happy with this as long as it is not water from the kitchen sink!
