Are motorhomes simply the best way to travel?

"It's the only way to travel" says Anne Dean. Do you agree? She looks back how she and David first hired a 'van, then bought a Swift Sundance – which led to the motorhome tour that changed her life. Just click here to read it.

If you fancy telling us about a tour that changed your life, please email us 500 words and two (or more) photos of you and your very first motorhome.

Send emails to pmotorhome@googlemail.com please – we're looking forward to reading them.

Today we look back at the moment when Michael and Greta Hafferty were bitten by the motorhome bug in beautiful Bruges! Enjoy their lovely story here – it's the tour that changed their lives.

They certainly are. I had my holiday of a lifetime in NZ 4 years ago and we had a 'Hippy Camper'. I had never camped before and loved it. It was so restful. When we got home we started to look on bay at vans and were amazed at how they hold their value. Anyhow we were lucky enough to get a 2012 Swift Escape and although we have had loads of accommodation problems (sorted under warranty) we still love her. We are still learning and I keep moving things around trying to make the best of the storage available. We use her every couple weeks and just drive a couple of hours from Hexham and wild park somewhere. The furthest we have been is Beynac in SW France via the Chunnel (Fab way to travel). This is a wonderful life and we meet so many nice people. I still smile when we pass another motorhome and get the wave.
