I've just looked on the Argos website, the price is correct although I've never heard of the make but I would have thought it would be fine for a caravan.

I have, or should that be had, a really nice 15 inch lcd but I made the mistake of allowing the child to use it for her play station/dvd player in her room and she's broken it. It wasn't cheap, I'm gutted.

Yes they are that cheap. Catalogue number 529/1900 (from Argos website).

If you shop around you can often get cheap LCD TV's nowadays.

"on page 10 of the sun [we buy it for the tv page, saturday only]"

hehheh! gio, and I suppose you buy the Sunday Sport just for the sport eh what ol' bean ... nudge! nudge! wink! wink! ;O)

Yeah, I've got a Mikomi from Argos on the recommendation of another forum member (can't remember who) and the pic is good and it's easy to search for the digital channels.

Bloody things too big ! we have one of those tv spots built between the bedroom and the kitchen area.

Been cleaning [and polishing] the van today, so measured the unit space, its big enough for only a 15"lcd.

Really did fancy it, good job i checked.

We have one of these tv's, it is now about 2 years old. It is a great little tv and I use it at home and away in the van. Only thing is don't forget the remote control when you go away as you will struggle to get it tuned in without it.

Emmo "Excuse me, but why do you want a TV in the van"?

I personally don't want a TV in the van, it's Her Ladyship. We had a flatscreen LCD but she then wanted digital with Freeview. Bought a portable DVD player so she can take DVDs to watch and also had to buy a digital ariel and mast.

I'm not moaning no more though because after pressure from me and even more pressure from friends and family she went on a guilt trip and let me have a laptop ... hehheh!

Another item I can do without is a radio but I put my foot down over that, I let her listen to the weather then it goes off :O)

I don't want to spend thousands on a caravan and stay in on a lovely site in the middle of nowhere with brilliant views just to listen to Radio Whatevercrap blaring away.

Give me bird song everytime :O)

Oh! there's nothing like it!

Satellite dish up. TV on. Air-conditioning on all-day. Portable generator going. Smart-car on tow. I-pod in ears whilst playing on Wii. And then of course the BBQ.

This was the scene on a spanish camp site last year!

Germans naturally.

"Excuse me, but why do you want a TV in the van?"Excuse me, but why do you want a TV in the van?

Because it never came with one fitted.. bum bum....

Interesting piont here,as to what and what is not needed.

I suppose we could argue that caravans themselves are not needed, just a tent a shovel, a box of matches and an old newspaper for when you need to go.....

Now that really is back to nature, and i am sure some tenters would be up for saying "excuss me why do you need a caravan?".

So as to the original question.

"Excuse me, but why do you want a TV in the van?" the answer is as personal as why do we need a caravan rather than a tent?

Hi the tv probably cheap as it is not digital, still a very good tv.

The insides eg screen and electronics are probably made by a well known manufacturer and just cased and badged by these names, this tv was the same as sold by Bush.Thats a name you've heard they were identical just with a bush logo.
