You've got two points. One on the cupboard by the venetian blind and another front right hand seat. You need to provide a short cable. The directional aerial has pull out poles on it. These are for use in france but if signal is poor try pulling them out. Shouldn't help but i found it did. When you two make sure it is pointing backwards- there's a red spot on the handle to show direction.

Hi Mike,

This is a bit of a long shot and asks a bit of coincidence... but did you buy your van from Wandahome in South Cave? If you did, read on. If not, never mind.

We traded our 2006 Indiana in to Wandahome at Easter. It originally had an aerial socket above the corner unit by the venetian blind. But because we don't have an interest in watching TV I disconnected the socket (I taped up the end of the supplying aerial cable and left it loose in the void behind) and fitted an additional 13 amp power socket in its place so that there were two there.

We had the aerial taken off the roof by the supplying dealer and a blanking plug sealed over it.

When we traded the van in to Wandahome we put all the bits in a bag under the bed - including the roof aerial and the socket face - so that the next owner could re-instate them.

However, I did not disconnect the other socket that is near floor level at the front of the van underneath the front chest of drawers.

Cheers

Hi Mike,

Just to confirm that it is the same van - you can check whether there is a small radio headphone socket that I installed, set into the rear of the plastic cable trunking under the cupboard at the offside front of the caravan above the seat/bed. Other tell tales are an additional power socket under the far corner of the double bed (for an air pump that helps me breathe at night); and another power socket in the bottom of the vanity unit. Though of course the easiest way to confirm it is the same van is that its VIN ended "2116".

When we handed the van over to Wandahome, the aerial was in a bag under the double bed (with the unused carpet for the kitchen, the main electric supply cable and the unused grey step and black waste container) but it would not have taken them

Hi Mike,

Only just spotted your message because "comments" don't appear in the summary information or bring the topic back up the latest post listings.

I'm glad you got the aerial sorted and I trust you get good reception on the TV.

I hope you have some great times in the van, because we did. It is a very good van and, apart from having to have a new back panel put on under warranty after the first year, it never gave us a moment of trouble.

May I ask whether Wandahome gave it a service before selling it to you. The reason I ask is that in order to maintain the long term water ingress warranty it has to have a service before its original purchase anniversary each year - in mid April as I recall. We traded it in to Wandahome in the first week of April so it was due a service within a couple of weeks. I mentioned all of this to Wandahome so that they would do whatever was needed to maintain the warranty conditions - but I did not get a strong impression that they gave a d***. I hope I was wrong.

If you ever need to ask me anything about the van I am very happy for the mods to pass my email address on to you.

Cheers
