I took my old dog to the vets once as he had cross eyes. The vet picked him up looked him staight in the face and said "Im sorry but I will have to put him down", "Put him down" I said" because he has cross eyes" "No" replied the vet "Because he's too heavy"!!!

Farmer 'Shot my dog this morning.'

Friend 'Was he mad?'

Farmer 'No - but he was'nt very pleased.'

Now I once had this comment from the farmer where I store our 'van. Thank goodness I did not move onto line two 'cos he really had - by accident but not fatal. Poor fellow was beside himself in tears. Both farmer and dog are still alive and well.
