looking to change car. Fancy the Audi A6 auto 3 ltr. (Audi quote 64 mpg on a run!!)
However, the autobox is one of the CVT type. Is it proven? Will be towing around 1500 Kgs.
Does anyone have any experience of this vehicle.

I can't speak for the Audi, but I've been towing an 1800kg caravan behind a car with CVT transmission for a couple of years now and can't fault it, so I suppose one can rightfully say that CVT is not unsuitable, at least not in principle.
