In the early seventies I have done similar with a CI Sprite caravan in Zimbabwe except that I was using a Peugeot 404. No electric, no battery lamps, just a gas fridge, stove and lights! We used to live up to six weeks at a time in the bush. great fun as you see loads of wild animals.
