Auto gearbox fault

Anyone help.
I've just bought a car with an auto box, but it won't work in the dark.
During the day I select D and it's fine, but at night I select N but it won't move.

You need to confuse the car.
Fit about 20 spotlights, start the car and then turn on the spotlights. The car will then think it's daytime and you will be able to select D and drive away.

I've found another fault on the damn thing. I was at a set of traffic lights when a boy racer came alongside, I thought I'd
Give him a run for his money, I put it into R for race, but smashed into the car behind.
