Hi Alan, thank's for the contact, my warranty runs out in August so I need to sort it, all ready had new camera and Unit replaced under warranty neither made any difference. Autotrail suggested through dealer that the connection behind the Sargent control unit could be dodgy, it's similar to a Tv arial with outer braid, I have a feeling this could be the problem as it definately improved when re set(2 man job, 1 supporting unit, lots of wires).
Going to get dealer to check and suggest using a connection block on final Service in June.
Also having trouble opening the Habition door

Hi Malcolm, My earlier response appears to have gone AWOL, I'll try again, not sure if this is the same fault as yours but we also had problems with our hab door locking/unlocking when using the key fob, the contacts on the lower door and frame had slightly rusted, using some 'wet&dry' over both contacts sorted it, hab door now works aok.

hi malcolm&alan i to had this problem on my 91 talbot express, are they wireless or hard wired, if they they are wireless most wireless reversing cameras only have a range of about 15ft so if your vans are over 15feet long that is your problem mine is 18.5feet i took it back and exchange it for a 30foot range cost me £20.00 more for the better one i purchased mine from maplins.hope this helps graham

Mine worked 'Eventually', up to 14 seconds after reverse gear was selected, It used to drive me crazy, I also asked if the camera could be 'modded' to work all the time the ignition was switched on. So that I could monitor my 'towed' car, and have some rear view, My van is a 2012 Frontier Savannah with no through vision. Autotrail were very unhelpful, saying that it would be 'against the law' to do so.......poppycock ! Anyway, got a private fitter to come to my home and fit a dual camera, that does just as I asked. I consider the £999 media pack, to be very poor value, and wouldn't have another. Better to buy seperate, better quality units. As for the habitation door, the contacts on the door edge and the door jamb need cleaning with emery cloth and spraying with 'contact' oil every now and again.Or it won't work with the central locking.
