Awning advice please

When I went away to France with my caravan and awning for the first time last year we had a few nights of torrential rain (who didn't in August), the awning roof filled up with pockets of rain that became HUGE. When I got up every hor to clear it, the water splashed EVERYWHERE. I obviously didn't have it set up correctly to drain. I'm going to set it up again this week and I'm really worried it will happen again.

What am I doing wrong? All the other awnings looked like they were draining ok.

Thanks

Ian

Hi ian, I dont think you got anything wrong. Maybe just try to make sure the fabric is taught enough across the top and that all poles are fitted and adjusted tight. I dont know how big the awning is but I have seen people with extra poles that fitted across the awning roof, these went from front to back and had a fitting on each end that you tightened up with a wing nut. Hope this helps you.
