Hi, We currently have a Sunncamp porch awning which we've discovered is not big enough for us to make the best use of (as have young kids with toys etc). We'd like a full size awning of the style that most vans around us seem to have but we are a bit baffled by the variation in price. Eg brands such as Isabella seem SO expensive. Are they worth the extra £500 over other makes which look v similar? I definitely want to get it right this time and do want good quality (as rain pools on our roof and it collapses each time it rains overnight!!!) but don't necessarily want to spend a grand!

Thanks for any advice

Hi Angela, in my opinion and if you can afford it go for Isabella, the quality is top notch even a second hand one, they will last years so will work out cheaper the longer you have it.

We did try another well known awning D***** used it once and you could see the difference just by zipping in the panels, so that was sold at a loss and we went back to Isabella the one we have now is 4 years old and still looks like new.

remembre if you change caravan will it fit so before you buy a top brand awning make sure it will be worth it if you are changing your van in the next year or so and size will change buy a piramid or dorema save your isabella or marlin ect ect to you get your new van because you wont get your money back on re sale

Hi we have just used our Tuscany pyramid awning for the first time. It was fantastic. The extra space it gave us was great. We have two children and two dogs. Also it did rain one of the nights all night and there were no leaks or pools on the roof.I havent tried the more expensive awnings but this one did the job just fine.

We have never had a top notch awning, but we have hda no problems with Tuscany awnings with a two vans.

If you want better quality material you can go for a Pyramid Corican awning, they are still pretty good value.

We have the Pyramid tie down staps and our awnings have put up with some pretty awful weather with no leakages.

HI! angel i have used a Suncamp awning for a couple of years know never had a problem with it collecting water on the roof are you tightening it enough to stop it sagging also you can get a larger size than the one you have .ie 3 piece instead of 2 piece

Cheers Duggie
