Well we are away over the winter for the first time. Can anyone suggest a really good awning heater ? We currently have a blow heater which isn't very good on giving out heat.

I haven't actually tried it in an awning yet, but I recently bought a Delonghi electric panel radiator (1kW) for my wife who suffers with chronic arthritis.

I was very pleasantly surprised. It uses a MICATHERMIC element which heats up in under a minute and it produces a useful amount of long wavelength (non visible) radiant heat as well as convected heat. It has a built in thermostat with frost setting

It is light weight, and being portable it could be used inside the caravan and at home.

Similarly, Halogen heaters are radiant so heating you rather than the air...and provide lighting!

We have the Outwell Hanging Halogen Heater/light and it works very well and you can keep it on all night
