Awning length modification

I am considering a quick modification to the length of our 'aging' awning roof.
It needs to be reduced by 12"
I am wondering if anyone has experience with the use of solvent free adhesives rather than stitching?
Any recommendations of solvent free adhesives would be welcome.
I understand that the awing cord will require 'joining up' as well.
Thanks

Hi, my only experience with glues and canvas were quite a while ago when I was camping under canvas. The repair kits that were sold for canvas at that time always recommended stiching before glueing a patch over the top. I think with just glueing you may come unstuck (literally), but then glues have developed considerably in recent years.

You don't say what material you're working with, that could make a difference but I would suggest you take professional advice, whether that be a glue manufacturer or one of the companies that specialise in awning alterations.

Regards
Tony
