Awning pegs

What pegs do people use for awning ladders on doorways that you want to open? I find that the ladder can't be removed over the rock peg once in the ground

We don't peg the part of the door that opens on the door that we use.

Usually, they stitch in a fixing on both sides of the zip opening. When the door is zipped closed, it relies on the other fixing for its hold.

I took the ladders off the door but the rain skirt still needs to be pegged outside. I just loop the elastic over the top of the peg.

We also did not peg the ladders on the awning door it was easier access with my mobility issues
