Hi all,

I have a Bradcot Awning with Easy Alloy Poles. In Spain earlier this Year in very strong winds some of my Easy Alloy Poles got bent, Some of them i can still manage to use but one of the Corner (3 way pole) units has been bent too much, I have been looking every where to find some replacements, With no luck. Can any one please tell me where I can get some?

Thanks,

Grenville

Hi gren I managed to get a couple of triple extension poles from camping international gillingham kent they may be able to help. Have you tried Bradcots they are back in buisiness www.bradcot-awnings.co.uk I managed to get half a set by advertising on a couple of caravaning webbsites. you can dismantle the 3 piece corner pole sets & replace the damaged poles though.

there seems to be 2 types, my corner poles connect into/onto plastic plug in pieces but the s/h corner poles I managed to get hold of have a short section of pole that slides into the main poles & seem to be a smaller diameter so be sure that you get the correct size /type

Hi

Noticed you have had a problem with your btadcot awning, we're new to caravanning and just purchased a bradcot awning with easy alloy poles, was this a wise choice or do lots of problems occur with them?

Hi Paula,

We are also new to Caravaning so we wanted something that was easy to put up, when we first erected our Awning it took us three hours, lots of fiddley bits, while it was erected we marked all of the pieces and now it only takes about half an hour, with the easy alloy poles it is so EASY but they will not stand up to very very strong wind. We started Caravaning last September, We had two weeks in England (September 2008)Then in January we had four months in Spain & Portugal, while we were in Conil (Spain nr Cadiz) we had lots of very strong winds with even stronger gusts and i mean strong, never had such strong winds, any way that was where my poles bent.

Please feel free to email if you want more info.

Grenville.
